The cycle store in Vadodara is open now – No waterlogging

Cyclobike – Electric Cycle and the cycle store in Vadodara, is now open, as the waterlogging has cleared up. Recently, Vadodara district was severely affected by heavy rains in Gujarat, leading to flood-like conditions. The intense rainfall over the past two days caused significant waterlogging, and Gujarat was placed on red alert by the India Meteorological Department for extreme rainfall until August 30. The Manjalpur area also experienced waterlogging, but we are pleased to announce that our cycle showroom is now open for sales and servicing to meet your needs.

Vadodara stands together

In Vadodara, a thousand people had to be relocated due to the flooding. The Air Force played a crucial role in assisting displaced residents, while the NDRF, SDRF, and armed forces are conducting rescue and relief operations across the state.
The flood situation in the rain-stricken coastal districts of Saurashtra and Vadodara city worsened on Wednesday as heavy rains continued for the fourth straight day. Despite the challenging conditions, a heartwarming display of community spirit emerged. According to the Times of India, residents of Gajanan Heights in the Manjalpur area of Vadodara, united to cook and distribute food to those in need. This remarkable act of kindness highlights that even in the face of adversity, the spirit of humanity remains strong and vibrant.

Vadodara’s flood history

Vadodara has faced severe flooding in multiple years, including 1941, 1970, 1974, 1976, 1994, 1996, 2005, and now 2024. Given its history of recurring floods, there is a pressing need for improved systems and support to prevent such conditions in the future. The city’s vulnerability is heightened by its geography, with rivers like the Mahi, Vishwamitri, and Narmada surrounding it, as well as various reservoirs such as Ajwa Lake and Pratappura Lake.

The cycle store in Vadodara sends its deepest condolences to those who have lost loved ones during this tough time. We understand that many are dealing with both personal and material losses and need to rebuild. Nature can be unpredictable, and while human activities have harmed the environment, efforts like promoting electric bikes at the Statue of Unity and planting more trees are positive steps toward making things right.
